When you sponsor Bands Across the Prairie,
your donation helps Prairie Music Association hold a very special marching band invitational. While trophies are awarded and the competition is very real, the primary focus of BAP is education. We use the technology available within the College Community School District to provide instant audio visual critique projected on 20' screens in 2 auditoriums just minutes after each band's performance. It's an unusual opportunity for the whole band to hear from highly qualified instructors enmasse, at a time when instruction can have the most impact.

Prairie Music Association is not a school.
We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation (for a file copy of our exemption letter, click here). Our organization is dedicated to promoting music education throughout a school district that includes large portions of Linn and Johnson counties. As such, we serve the population of southwest Cedar Rapids, Fairfax, Swisher, Shueyville, Ely and outlying areas near Amana and Solon. It represents one of the fastest growing districts in the state.Your $500 full sponsorship is acknowledged by:
